Message from Alexander Street Press July 13, 2011:
“Dear Classical Music Library customer,
When you originally activated your Classical Music Library subscription, you chose to activate the option for patrons to download tracks using their personal credit cards.
As of September 6, 2011, the download feature will no longer appear in Classical Music Library. This is simply a courtesy email to let you know that the “download this item” icon will be going away.
If your users have purchased tracks and not yet downloaded them, we’ve emailed them asking that they download their tracks before the September 6 deadline.
You need do nothing — we are just informing you in case a patron mentions this to you.
It’s only the optional downloads that are being removed — a feature that was rarely used. You and your users of course can continue to enjoy all the music streaming to you through Classical Music Library. With more than 87,000 tracks, including recently added music from EMI, Classical Music Library will continue to grow.”
