Classical Music Library: New Content December 2012

Alexander Street Press has just added 647 albums (10,519 tracks) to Classical Music Library.

Most notable is the addition of 316 albums from Decca and Deutsche Grammophon! This fantastic new content contains material such as:

• Beethoven’s Fidelio with Birgit Nilsson, Lorin Maazel and the Wiener Philharmoniker • Mozart Symphonies with the Academy of Ancient Music and Christopher Hogwood • Bellini’s Norma with Joan Sutherland, Richard Bonynge, and Marilyn Horne • Musicals, including Victor/Victoria, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tell Me on a Sunday, Mamma Mia, and more • Plus artists and ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Charles Dutoit, Carlos Kleiber, Cecilia Bartoli, Sumi Jo, Julie Andrews, Anna Netrebko, Christoph Eschenbach, Barbara Bonney, Lang Lang, and more!

Other new artists and ensembles include: American Bach Soloists, Colin Booth, Daniel Estrem, Ensemble Mirable, Ivan Illic, Janine Johnson, JungHae Kim, Kyiv Chamber Choir, Philharmonia Baroque, Vivaldi Consort, Vito Paternoster, and independent artists and ensembles from around the world.

Classical Scores Library II: New Content December 2012

Updates include 309 scores from Faber Music, Wirripang, and from many individual composers.

New works included from Faber Music include compositions by Colin Matthews, Jonathan Harvey, John Woolrich, David Matthews, Torsten Rasch, Tansy Davies, Peter Sculthorpe, Carl Vine, Derek Bermel, and more. New content from Wirripang includes compositions by Clare Maclean, Kenya Wilkins, Van P. Nguyen, Naomi Ng, Alan Hinde, Vincent Giles, Sylvia Rice, Paul Ballam-Cross, Kevin Young, and more.

Alexander Street Press has also released material by individual composers from Taiwan, including Chao, Ching-Wen; Wu, Dye; Lien, Hsien-sheng; Li, Yuan-Chen; Paul SanGregory; Liu, Pietro Te-Yi; Chen, Sansan; composers from the US, including Thomas Oboe Lee, Ryan Carter, and Robinson McClellan; plus Anthony Ritchie (New Zealand), Marc Yeats (UK), Ralph Middenway (Australia), and Hans Huyssen (South Africa).
